Investigation into the scene of an accident occurring 10/3/17 revealed that Sarah Taylor, 81 of Weldon was traveling eastbound on IL Route 10, east of Weldon Springs.  Robert Lowers, 73 of Clinton, was also traveling eastbound on IL Route 10, east of Weldon Springs.  Lowers slowed and stopped, activated his turn signal, attempting to turn in to his residence.  Taylor hit Lowers from behind.  Both drivers were wearing their seatbelts.  Both vehicles were towed from the scene.  Taylor was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident.

Amber Fouts, 36, Urbana, was arrested on an In-State Warrant and charged with Criminal Trespass to Residence.  Fouts posted the necessary bond and was released.

Keith Henthorn, 38, Indianapolis, was issued a citation for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident.  Henthorn was issued a Notice to Appear and released.

Tommy Nicholls, 28, Oak Ridge, was issued citations for Failure to Reduce Speed/Accident and Disobeying Traffic Control Device.  Nicholls was issued a Notice to Appear and released.

Antonio Williams, 29, Danville, was arrested and charged with Driving on a Suspended License.  Williams posted the necessary bond and was released.

Kenneth Stukins, 42, Deland was issued citations for Failure to Secure Child Under Age 8 and Speeding (81 in a 55 mph zone). Stukins was issued a Notice to Appear and was released.

Damon Honea, 25, Illiopolis was issued citations for Operating an Un-Insured Motor Vehicle and Expired Registration. Honea was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Brant Knowles, 19, Cerro Gordo was issued a citation for speeding (72 mph in a 55 mph zone). Knowles was issued a Notice to Appear and was released.

Paul Brown, 46, Herscher was issued a citation for speeding (72 mph in a 55 mph zone). Herscher was issued a Notice to Appear and was released.

Paul Powers, 62, Bloomington was issued a citation for speeding (67 mph in a 45 mph zone). Powers was issued a Notice to Appear and was released.

Christopher Nungester, 20, Washington was issued a citation for speeding (80 mph in a 55 mph zone). Nungester was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Ryan Sosaman, 37, Clinton was issued a citation for speeding (73 mph in a 55 mph zone). Sosaman was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Clay Reeves, 28, was issued a citation for speeding (75 mph in a 55 mph zone). Reeves was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Cole Hoffman, 17, Maroa was issued a citation for Disobeying Traffic Control Device. Hoffman was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Shane Steinburg, 32, Atlanta was issued a citation for Expired Registration. Steinburg was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Alicia Atkins, 41, Clinton was issued a citation for Speeding (81 MPH in a 55 mph zone). Atkins was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Christopher Malinowski, 19, Clinton was issued a citation for Operating Uninsured Vehicle. Malinowski was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Kevin Hicks, 54, Urbana was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant, Charging him with Unlawful Possession of a Controlled Substance.  Hicks posted the necessary bond and was released.

Stephen Rinkel, 63, Mahoment, was issued a citation for Speeding (78 mph in a 55 mph zone).  Rinkel was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Antonio Williams, 30, Danville was issued citations for Driving While License Suspended, and Operating an Uninsured Vehicle.  Williams was given a Notice to Appear and was released.

Michelle Whitehouse, 38, Clinton was arrested on a DeWitt County Warrant charging her with Contempt of Court.  Whitehouse posted the necessary bond and was released.

Arrests:

On November 4, 2017 Clinton Police arrested Joshua R. Stephenson, 30, Decatur, on a Piatt County warrant. Stephenson was transported to the Dewitt County Jail and turned over to corrections personnel for processing.

On November 4, 2017 Clinton Police arrested Juan F. Soto, 32, Clinton for the offense of battery. Soto was transported to the Dewitt County Jail and turned over to corrections personnel for processing.
